Mobile Hotspot

Mobile hotspots are an included feature of the majority of 3G and 4G-equipped handsets. By transmitting cellular data through the phone's built-in antennas, mobile hotspots effectively make temporary wireless modems out of smartphones. Cellular data--most commonly HSPA, EV-DO, and LTE--is transmitted over a Wi-Fi signal, available for use by laptops and personal computers within a relatively small radius of the connected device.

Of course, mobile hotspots use large amounts of data, and may require a seperate data plan from your service provider.
