I ordered this with some trepidation after having learned that SanDisk had been turning out their thumb drives with the hardware's "removable" bit set to zero, which meant that it was seen as and thus considered a non-removable (or fixed) disk, which limited what could be done with it.
While I haven't actually tried partitioning it as a live+secure TAILS boot disk, IT DOES SHOW UP (in windoze XP) AS REMOVABLE, same as my older Cruzer Facets (pre-windoze8, which work just fine as tails boot disk w/secure persistent volume). So even though this product has a windoze8 logo on its packaging, I think it should work like any other USB drive, without the bogus m$ windoze-inspired "fixed disk" limitation that has plagued so many SanDisk thumb drives over the past year or two.
An old red one weighs 3.5g; this black one weighs 3.4g.
I ordered it after hours on 8/14/14 and it appeared in my snail mail box on 8/18/14. (SanDisk only went back to making USB drives with the 'removable' bit set earlier this year, so A4C seems to selling fresh product here...)
BTW, FWIW, this product has for years come from SanDisk with an autorun windoze executable on it. So if you have a non-windoze system available, you might want to stick it in that system first, and remove or at least rename the distro files...
