This 30-pin dock is designed for the iPhone 3G and the first two generations iPod Touches. However, it charges my 4S with no problems. However, the charger, wide as the dock space is, is not large enough to charge my phone in its Speck CandyShell Flip, although the encased phone does seat in the cradle. But, case flipped open, the phone does fit and charge.
I have several Elevation Docks: this does not quite compare. But it was a lot less. But the dock is heavier and more stable than my cheap plastic $5 iHome 30-pin cradles from Five Below. But those have audio out: this does not, so there is a bit of a trade-off.
You should buy a wall charger to use this: the description is inaccurate--an AC adapter is *not* included. The specs (content list) are accurate. I predicted this was the case after watching a few YouTube reviews of the item. The $3 AT&T Zero wall charger does work with this, by the way, if you can stand the blue light (or tape over it). Interestingly, the Zero does not work with my Elevation Docks.
Free shipping made this an even better value.
