I must say that I am not the type to leave product reviews but I was so impressed with this headset that I am looking for ways to spread the news. I have owned the Plantronics M50, Plantronics Voyager HD, the Plantronics Voyager HD Pro, and the Plantronics Voyager. These were supposed to be highly rated headsets, and I suppose they were pretty good, but the BlueAnt q3 blew those all away. It is very easy to use, lightweight, and is the only headset that has ever fit in my ear comfortably and securely.
It's voice command features are nice so you can get most basic functions done without pressing a single button which is nice when you're driving or cooking. You can simply ask, "Am I connected?" or say "Connect to headset" and it will connect to the phone automatically. It announces the name of an incoming caller if it is saved in your phone book and will ask you if you want to answer or not. All you have to do is say "Answer." You don't have to press any buttons.
The voice quality, in my opinion is excellent. I have never enjoyed using my cell phone, or any of my headsets at home because my house phone always sounded better. I know find that I use my cell phone all the time indoors, but only with my BlueAnt headset. It cancels background noise well and people don't ever seem to have any trouble hearing me - which is significant because I have a very soft voice.
All in all, it does exactly what any great headset should do. There is supposed to be an app that allows it to read your text messages to you if you have an Android phone, which I have, but I have not figured out how to get that feature to work. That feature is nice, but not necessary or expected so I can live without that extra luxury.
