refurbished, and you can tell
product looked great. However its a truly refurbished product. Earphone jack does not fit headset due to deformity of outer shell. when tablet is off for a while, it must reboot to startup again. The good news is the people at A4C were very helpful. They offered me an exchange and refund with no hassle. Maybe this was just a fluke. I am considering buying from them again due to the customer service and great prices.

Almost as good as the one my wife dropped on concrete and broke
Sometimes the digitizer (touch screen) does not work at all. When this happens either the screen goes white and it reboots itself or I turn it off and back on. I hope this is the extent of it, I worry that the warrantee period will end then it gets worse.

Intermittent problems are hard to verify. There were small gouges around the edge of the screen like from prying.

Good product
I am more of a pessimist when it comes to technology, since I'm a huge geek and love my two laptops, but so far this little device has done nothing but impress me. It surfs the web better than i had hoped but i hadnt played around with a tablet for a few years, also it has great gaming capabilities for such a slime device. I have had a few problems with games but i would assume that is due to the app itself and nothing to do with the tablet.

Pretty nice, BUT problem with my refurb model
Definitely a nice tablet - good screen, reasonably fast processing including graphics. My only comlaint is that on the refurb model I got, the tocuh screen is gets weird when plugged in. I cannot use the pattern unlock or any other touch function, because the screen acts as if I am touching it in multiple places, so nothing works as expected. However, once I unplug it, everything functions perfectly. Not sure if I am going to go through the hassle of returning yet. The battery life is pretty good and it charges pretty fast, so it's usable except for the rare occasion when I want to use it when the battery is low and can't wait 30 minutes to get a 30%-40% charge.

Glitchy, but workable
This unit came with ICS operating system, which had to be double upgraded to the latest release of JB before touch screen issues went away. It would auto click on areas of the screen that I was not touching before the upgrade. There were numerous scratches on the back whiorling surface, and a pixel on the face was dead. Also, it came with a non-Asus charger which causes the unit to "ding" once every 10 seconds during charging once the OS was upgraded to JB. Poor quality all around, not sure how this could be considered refurbished to the manufacturers OEM quality level, but once I spent a few hours messing with it, it works acceptably.

Asus, the best tablet at a great price!
I returned a Kindle Fire HD tablet shortly after I bought it and purchased the Asus TF300 tablet. They were both refurbished and about the same price. I love the Asus because it gives me the freedom to set things up the way I want to. It's worked great from the minute I turned it on. I'm one happy camper!

Scratched screen
The only issue I have with it is the description says "Refurbished items may have slight scratches or blemishes although the screen is in perfect condition" but mine has a scratch on the screen about an inch long. Not a bad one, you can't see it when the tablet is on.
Not a big deal for a refurbished tablet but it's not perfect like the description says.

another great value from A4C
My tablet was received in great condition. My TF 300 was 'refurbished', but it looks and operates as good as NEW!!! With the low price I paid, this was an exceptional deal. A4C shipped it very fast in high quality packaging with the charger enclosed.
Asus makes super tablets. In fact, this is the 4th asus transformer I have purchased. Each of my family members now have one and find them to be one of the most useful "gadgets" we have ever owned.

I had an ASUS TF 100 (which I dropped & broke) and I was extremely impressed with it, but my new TF 300 puts it to shame. I am especially pleased with the fact that it has a Quad-Core which allows apps, games, & video to run soooo smooth! Another welcome addition is that it can use a 64GB SD Micro card!!! (How many other tablets will do THAT?). Even though my TF 300 is 'Refurbished', it LOOKS and RUNS as good as NEW!!! At the low price I paid, this has been an exceptional deal for me.
